Ruskin Moscou Faltischek is one of the few firms in the U.S. that represents franchisors. We
represent companies on a regional, national and international level, from
first-time franchisors to multi-unit systems. Our practice group provides
comprehensive services from development, operation and expansion to termination,
non-renewals and contractual disputes.
On the franchisor side, the firm represents existing
franchise systems as well as businesses seeking to franchise for the very first
time. The firm also represents franchisors and distributors in areas such as
employment, tax, real estate, corporate and bankruptcy and in all aspects of
dispute resolution including, litigation, arbitration and mediation.
Harold
L. Kestenbaum, Of Counsel, represents franchisors only, both
start-up and established. He has a unique blend of experience in
franchise law. Formerly CEO of a national franchisor, he serves as a Director of
four nationally and internationally known franchisors, was a franchisee, and was
the President of a publicly traded franchise consulting company.
Mr. Kestenbaum earned his J.D. from the University of
Richmond School of Law in 1975, where he was on Law Review. He is a founding
member and current Chairman of the NYS Bar Association's Franchise, Distribution
and Licensing Law Committee.
