Novice crafters and do-it-yourself enthusiasts alike can create high-end custom home décor and personalized gifts at AR Workshop®a boutique DIY shop that offers a unique, fun experience for all ages and skill levels through instructor-led workshops.
Workshop participants can construct custom wood plank signs, framed signs, canvas pillows, round signs, trays, Lazy Susans, centerpiece boxes, cake stands, canvas items, specialty projects and more utilizing raw materials, a variety of non-toxic stain and paint colors, and stencils. Attendees can also create textile items such as chunky knit blankets as well as seasonal or holiday keepsakes.
Project designs can be personalized with names, memorable dates, quotes and graphics plus a variety of colors, to create beautiful one-of-a-kind artworks. The average time to complete a project is two and a half hours.
In addition to open workshops, customers can also book a private, corporate, youth or holiday event. During the summer months, camps for children will be offered.
About AR Workshop® Franchise and Anders Ruff Co.
Maureen Anders and Adria Ruff created Anders Ruff Custom Designs in 2010 as a small, mixed-media online boutique and blog that offered unique graphic design, styling and inspiration to lovers of handmade artistry. Before long, the combination of one-of-a-kind artwork, inspiring environment and the owners’ enthusiasm led the duo to create a business model for hands-on, instructor-led workshops in which attendees learn skills and create keepsakes from raw materials. All Anders Ruff Workshop® spaces feature functional décor that each owner builds themselves. From the hammer chandelier to the paint bar, workshop tables and shelves, each boutique has a signature aqua-themed vibe with a lot of DIY handiwork. Since the original AR Workshop® was born at the flagship site in Pineville, NC in 2016, more than 140 'entreprenhers' have joined the rapidly-expanding, woman-owned franchise to open local shops across the nation.
