BeeHive Homes

About Us

BeeHive assisted living all began in 1987 when Twayne Walker built the first assisted living home in Meridian, Idaho. In response to a very limited number of quality care facilities, Twayne originally built the first BeeHive Homes assisted living home as a means to provide his grandmother with quality care in a personalized, home-like surrounding. Many facilities available at that time not only failed to provide a pleasant atmosphere but required rates that were out of reach for the majority of the elderly and their families. It didn’t take long to realize that many were searching for elderly care services similar to those being offered by BeeHive Homes.

At BeeHive Homes, we enjoy a unique and personal approach to assisted living care services. Like most assisted living providers, we offer both long-term and respite care that combines housing, assistance with daily activities, and health care services as needed. In general, assisted living care is designed for those who require a little extra help with daily activities such as medication management, bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence, or a number of potential challenges.

Why BeeHive Homes

BeeHive Homes is an industry leader in senior assisted living care. Our franchisees are well trained and become part of a growing networked community of care providers that support and help one another. At a BeeHive Homes assisted living franchise, residents, staff, and owners benefit from the experience of decades of refining the most effective care procedures, implementing appropriate operational policies, developing productive activities, complying with regulations, and providing oversight capability to help the franchisee provide truly excellent care combined with a small home setting.

Many corporations are providing assisted living in large planned communities. These facilities can house well over 200 residents and become overwhelming and impersonal to many residents and their families.

Across the country, a BeeHive Homes assisted living franchise in many ways feels like a real home. Residents and families feel they are part of a normal, functioning home, with a familiar dining room table, front porch, and backyard. Our homes are small by design, (16 and 20 bedroom homes), which allows our owners and staff to personally get to know residents and their families. These are homes that fill with loved ones during special occasions, allowing all to take part in the activities and family environment that is part of the BeeHive Homes franchise.

Training and Support

BeeHive Homes assisted living franchise owners reap multiple benefits as a result of the vast experiences we have enjoyed through growth and interaction. You will receive initial training, of course, with ongoing support, regional and national advertising, group discounts, lead generation through our websites and call centers, access to a proven business model, affiliation with a reputable brand, and an entire network of BeeHive franchisees who are happy to answer questions, offer advice, and provide additional support. We provide webinars, meetings, a hotline for anytime help, and an annual conference that revitalizes, motivates, and reinforces once again your goals and direction.

SITE SELECTION

Choosing the correct location for a BeeHive Homes franchise is a very important decision that you will not be left to do on your own. We will help you consider local demographics, traffic patterns, competitive institutions, and lot sizes and prices. New homes sit on at least a half-acre of commercial property. Some franchises place several homes on the same site, which allows them to keep the home-like feel while maximizing their real estate investment.

ONGOING TRAINING AND SUPPORT

Ongoing support is only a phone call away. You will develop a framework of support across the network of homes that will support you in your specific questions. Every six months your region will have a training meeting where you will network with and learn from those who are experienced in the operation of a home. Yearly, BeeHive Homes holds a National Conference that provides training classes and lectures by industry and company experts. This event is a wonderful opportunity to learn from the best and raise the bar on the best practices you find in your home.
