Curves
Curves is a fitness business geared toward women with about 4 million members at over 10,000 locations found around the world. Curves promote healthy lifestyles in females by assisting with weight loss and exercise. With cardio, stretching, and strength training, Curves vows to work for every major muscle group. The exercise routine mostly consists of circuit training and the use of hydraulic resistance equipment. Most Curves members come to the gym for a 30-minute workout three times per week. Additionally, with so many Curves locations, a membership works at any Curves, providing women with exercise options even when traveling. More about the cost of owning a Curves franchise is below.
Facts & figures
New Curves franchisees attend one week of training at the company headquarters, plus an additional four days at the site of the franchise. Each year, Curves holds a three-day convention that franchisees may attend, as well. Thereafter, Curves franchisees are provided with ongoing support in the form of meetings, newsletters, field operations, and marketing campaigns. Half of all franchisees own more than one Curves unit. Though absentee ownership is permitted, the majority of Curves franchise owners operate their own businesses.
