Master Vs. Unit

Master Franchising:

A Master Franchise is granted exclusive Franchise Rights to use a brand name and proprietary information to re-sell its goods and services in a particular geographic region. The Franchisor is typically paid an initial fee by the Master Franchisee for these rights and is paid an on-going royalty for the revenue generated by the Master Franchise from the goods and services provided to the Unit Franchises.

Unit Franchising:

Unit franchising is where a Master Franchisee grants the exclusive Franchise Rights to use a brand name and proprietary information to re-sell its goods and services in either a defined area or within that defined area. Master Franchisees typically sell many Unit Franchises within their Region. The Master Franchisee is also typically paid an initial fee for these rights and is paid an on-going royalty for the revenue derived from goods and services provided by the Unit Franchisee.

Qualifications

Financial Qualifications:

We require that our Master Franchise owners have $50,000 to $100,000 of additional capital available for start-up costs, operating capital and marketing expenses. In addition, if you finance any portion of the Franchise Fee, each owner (regardless of percentage ownership), will be required to sign a personal guarantee and have a credit score of 600 or higher.

Legal Qualifications:

To become a Forte Commercial Cleaning Master Franchise, you must have organize an LLC or incorporate in the State in which you will purchase and operate your Forte Commercial Cleaning Master Franchise.

Professional Qualifications:

There are no particular professional qualifications for owning a Forte Commercial Cleaning Master Franchise. However, certain experience (like previous business ownership, previous management experience and sales/marketing experience) will provide a solid foundation in which to build your Forte Commercial Cleaning Master Franchise, but is not necessary since the Forte system is designed to be turn-key for any prospective operator.
