Painting with a Twist is, as its name implies, a place where you can paint with a twist. The founders of the company partnered with thousands of artists to create different artwork. All of the employees working for the company have years of experience working as artists themselves. They can teach customers how to create artwork from existing designs and how to use their own ideas to create art for their homes. Most of those who rent space at one of its locations do so for birthday parties and other celebrations.
Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney opened the first Painting with a Twist as a fun place for people to host events. The idea behind the concept was simple: let customers have fun drinking wine as they learn how to create art from a trained teacher. Originally known as Corks N Canvas, the chain later changed its name to reflect that it focused more on painting and less on wine. Since opening in Louisiana, Painting with a Twist has opened more than 180 franchise owned locations across the country.
