Seeking Sitters was founded by David and Adrienne Kallweit, a couple from Tulsa, OK. Adrienne Kallweit learned about and recognized the importance of background screening of childcare attendants while running a successful investigation agency. She and her husband developed the Seeking Sitters concept in 2004. The company was named a Top 25 woman-owned business by_Working Mother _Magazine in 2008.
