Yogurtland was founded in February 2006 by Phillip Chang, who serves as the company CEO and president. After immigrating to the United States and becoming a U.S. citizen, Change was inspired by the idea of customer involvement with the products they consume and devised the first Yogurtland store in Fullerton, California, in which customers help themselves. In 2011, Yogurtland partnered with Sanrio, the company that created Hello Kitty, and began selling Sanrio toy products in Yogurtland stores, to great success.
